    Explore the latest green careers, and learn how you can tailor your education and college experiences towards future career goals in this growing field. Students from all colleges are encouraged to attend.
  • Interested in ESL/EFL?
    Thursday, April 8th from 5-6:30 pm
    Whether you want to teach English abroad or here in the United States, this panel presentation will help answer your questions about this growing field and how to get started. Panelists include teachers who have taught in China, Japan, Poland and the United States. The presentation is open to all students.
  • Women and Career Choices
    Thursday, April 15th from 5-6:30 pm
    Learn about current workforce trends and factors impacting career decision-making and satisfaction for women. Explore what work/life balance means for you. Students from all colleges are encouraged to attend.

Health Promotion Volunteer Opportunities

Fun, valuable and career-building volunteer opportunities exist on campus through the Health Promotion Resource Center, a part of University Health Services.

 

Apply now to become a peer educator.  Students selected to become peer educators will receive specialized training in health topics, gain experience facilitating classes and workshops, and conduct outreach on campus.  Peer Educators serve the UT community by promoting healthy choices and make a positive impact on their peers.

 

Applicants can choose from one of three peer education programs: Alcohol and Drug Education, Healthy Sexuality and Nutrition.

CAL Review Sessions for BHP freshmen

The BHP office will host review sessions right before the next two CAL exams.  Session one will be held on Monday, April 5th from 6 to 8pm (the night before CAL exam #2) and session two will be held on Monday, May 3rd from 6 to 8pm (the night before CAL exam #3).  Davis Rutkauskas, our resident CAL guru and tutor at the UTLC (UT Learning Center), will be on hand, as well as other tutors from the center.

Tips for Success in BA 324H

Hear from two BHP sophomores who got A’s in this class last spring.  Using the tips compiled by your three BA 324H professors this semester, these two students will lead a session that will give you the boost of confidence you need to make it through the latter half of the course!  Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 25th from 6 to 7pm for the presentation and a follow-up Q and A from 7 to 7:30pm.  Location TBA.
