The Texas Venture Labs Investment Competition awards more than $100,000 each year in prizes and in-kind support during its fall and spring competitions, where graduate students from the University of Texas System present their business ventures to simulate the experience of pitching to investors. Apply by April 21 to compete in the Spring 2024 TVLIC!
Many TVLIC competitors go on to launch their businesses and many others leverage the invaluable feedback and experience to accelerate their professional growth. Successful competitors have included uShip, Ordoro, BeatBox Beverages, Qcue, and Wilder Systems among others.
Teams will be competing for over $50,000 in cash and in-kind prizes. Awards will be given to the Texas Champion, Second Place, Third Place, Best Elevator Pitch, Best Veteran Company, Health Innovation, Sustainability Innovation, Energy Innovation and Technology Commercialization.

APPLY NOW FOR TVL STARTUP FELLOWS
TVL Startup Fellows is an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of industries and functions while building expertise and networks in target careers. Students get first-hand experience leading projects and solving problems while reinforcing classroom learning, allowing them to bridge the gap between their career aspirations and their current skill set. In addition to the project work, TVL Startup Fellows enjoy access to a range of resources, including guest speakers, seminars, opportunities to network, and connections to mentors.
The TVL Startup Fellows program runs two separate cohorts, a Summer cohort and a school-year cohort. The Summer cohort runs from June 1 through August 31. The school-year cohort runs from September 1 through May 31 each year.

TVL ACCELERATOR APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN
Texas Venture Labs is now accepting applications for the Fall 2024 TVL Accelerator cohort. We are looking for early and growth stage startups (pre-revenue and post-revenue) that will benefit from leveraging our highly talented grad students and UT Austin resources to address important questions they have about their business with market validation, pricing and competitor research, business model analysis and a variety of other consulting projects.
The TVL Accelerator matches Texas-based startups with cross-functional teams of graduate students in the TVL Practicum class for 10-week long startup consulting projects. Our rigorous market validation process and our students’ research accelerates startups towards funding and growth.
