Fall 2023 TVLIC champs Tano Pharmaceuticals were named a Top 10 Finalist at Baylor University’s 2024 New Venture Competition. Tano received honorable mention and placed second in the Elevator Pitch competition which was decided by audience vote. Tano also debuted its line of face creams and lotions at UT’s Student Founder Fest during SXSW, and is on its way to closing its initial pre-seed funding raise. AirMax, the 2nd place winner in the Fall 2023 TVLIC, was awarded third place and $10,000 at the 2024 TEX-E Prize, a multi-round startup competition for Texas students who are developing innovative technologies and business models to advance the energy transition and address climate change. AirMax is an HVAC retrofit system designed to materially increase efficiency of existing commercial air conditioning equipment. Its proprietary system is engineered to reduce ongoing utility expenses and lower greenhouse gas emissions for grocers and big box retailers.

BrainCheck, a company in the Fall 2020 TVL Accelerator cohort, recently announced that it had secured $15M in funding and added a new member to its board of advisors. The company plans to use the funding to accelerate its commercial traction, expand innovation within its product portfolio and extend their impact on the healthcare landscape.

Xeris Biopharma, a company in the Spring 2011 TVL Accelerator cohort, recently reported that its total revenue grew by 49% in 2023, reaching $164 million.
