Managing the details of your busy life and work is a challenge. A calendar and a to-do list, even the electronic versions, just don’t cut it anymore. You need a logical process that matches the complexity of your life. You need Empowered Productivity. Get back in the driver’s seat. Regain CONTROL over your time, your attention and your life!

Maura’s definition of “productive” is, “achieving a significant result.” Do you find yourself spending too much time on tasks that don’t move you forward toward your significant results? Following are a couple of quick tips for managing those “busy work” tasks so that you can spend more time on the things that really matter that Maura will discuss.

1. Anything that can get done for less than your time is worth is a prime candidate to outsource. My new favorite service is Taskrabbit. Do an internet search to see if they are live in your city.

2. Be careful not to use email as a procrastination tool. Checking email constantly to avoid taking action on your To Do List will prevent you from completing projects and achieving your significant results. It’s easier to avoid “email procrastination” when you have your important items out of your head, captured on a list and clearly spelled out. TIP: “Check group calendar for team meeting date” is clearer and easier to act upon than “organize meeting,” for example, and therefore more likely to get done.

Maura Thomas for the past 17 years has helped others do what they never thought possible with their time and attention and regain control of their life by speaking and training at business groups, conferences, events and corporations large and small, nationally and internationally.
