Graduating MPA Students,

Traditional academic regalia is required of all students participating in the MPA or any other University commencement exercises. The Masters Regalia (Cap, Gown, Tassel, Hood) costs $77 plus tax. May 1 is the last day to buy Master’s Regalia. Regalia cannot be rented through the Co-op.

Academic regalia, personalized invitations, and similar items are available for purchase in the UT Co-op Graduation Department in the basement. More information can be found online at the Graduation Department.

Tassel and hood colors are by college, please select “business”. The tassel is worn on the right before the degree is conferred.

From Weds, the 19th – Friday the 21st, The Co-Op will have experts available to assist in measuring and ordering gowns onsite.

Deadlines & Important Dates:

February 17th:       Graduation Department opens in the lower level of The Co-op
February 17th – 21st: DOCTORAL Regalia SALE – students and faculty may purchase their
doctoral regalia at COST these three days only. (Save 10 % with an additional 5% available for Co-op Members).

February 21st:     Grad Expo

April 3rd:               Grad Expo II

March 20th:    Doctoral Purchase deadline

April 17th:      Doctoral/ Faculty Rental deadline **Note! The Faculty Loaner regalia does not include a doctoral hood or tam, so if faculty would like these items, they must place a rental order by this date.
May 1st:        Masters Students purchase deadline

May 1st:         Bachelors Students purchase deadline

Please leave your hood in the bag until the day of graduation. Once you arrive at the Annex Gym of Gregory Gym, you’ll be able to take the hood out of its bag and put it on as is. You won’t need to adjust your hood in any way.
