MPAs who will have graduate student status in spring 2020:

Are you interested in a challenging and rewarding job opportunity for spring 2020? Have you ever considered being a Teaching Assistant (TA) for an accounting course? If you are interested in TAing (or you were a TA in the fall and would like to reapply for spring), you can find the appropriate application here.

In general, an applicant must have a graduate and graduate accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher (for both) and be enrolled for 9 hours (or more) of coursework in order to TA. However, if you are graduating in the spring semester, you are eligible to TA as long as you are enrolled for 6 hours and can document that you will sit for one or more portions of the CPA exam in the spring. Also, note that first-year graduate students cannot be appointed for more than 15 hours/week in the McCombs School. Given most Accounting TA positions are 10 hours/week, if you accept/have accepted a BA101 TA position you will not be able to have an additional appointment that exceeds 5 hours in McCombs.

Please submit your application to Professor Zvinakis by Thursday, November 14, 2019. If you have any questions about being a TA, you can e-mail Professor Zvinakis those questions, as well.
