Each year the charitable arm of Young Women’s Alliance, the Young Women’s Alliance Foundation (YWAF), awards $2,500 scholarships to women enrolled in graduate school or their junior or senior year of college.   The scholarships are awarded based on commitment to community service, demonstrated leadership, academic achievement, and financial need.  Recipients will be chosen in April and funds will be dispersed for use during either the fall or spring semester of the upcoming school year, to be selected by the recipient.  Scholarship recipients must participate in a Community Impact Project during the semester they receive the scholarship money.

Details about qualifications and selection procedures, and the application, can be found on their website.  This scholarship is open to all women in the community under the age of 40. The deadline to apply is March 28, 2013.
