Class Note: Justin Fenchel, MBA ’13

Justin Fenchel, MBA ’13, was recently featured on Shark Tank, where his company he co-founded with other McCombs Alumni, Beatbox Beverages, has been evaluated at 200 million as of this year. After being seen on Shark Tank, Beatbox Beverages has continued to put up strong numbers with the help of their Shark, Mark Cuban. Congratulations to Justin and his team!

About the board:

The McCombs School of Business MBA Advisory Board formed in 1996. Members assist the dean, associate dean of graduate programs, faculty, and staff of the McCombs School of Business in achieving and maintaining “best of class” status for the MBA programs. Members support the MBA program’s strategy planning, curricula, external affairs, alumni engagement, fundraising efforts, and student placement. Member nominations are accepted on a rolling basis. The executive committee considers nominations for membership each spring and new three-year terms begin Sept. 1.

Class Note: Marissa Jarratt, MBA ’04

With 99% of the U.S. population aware of the brand, Jarratt, the convenience-store retailer’s CMO since 2019, knows that growth will be fueled by driving brand consideration and relevancy. This has meant dialing up the brand’s energy and imagery, including launching “Take it to Eleven,” the biggest campaign in the company’s history, and one contributing to 6% same-store sales growth.
