The Mile High City Celebrates Summer

McCombs alumni, new grads, and interns met up in the Mile High City for their Summer Celebration. Staff from the MBA Program Office, including Tina Mabley, associate dean of the Full-Time MBA Program, also joined the group. The event was held at Tap Fourteen, a rooftop beer garden in Denver. Everyone enjoyed socializing and creating new connections.

Austin Chapter Hosts Summer Celebration at Banger’s

The Austin Chapter invited all alumni, 2019 graduates, and current-student interns to Banger’s on Rainey Street downtown for a summer celebration. The Texas heat didn’t keep the McCombs crowd at home! Nearly 140 people came out for the reception. Alumni and current students enjoyed the opportunity to network and talk shop about living and working in Austin. Alums even brought their four-legged companions along! Texas McCombs Summer Celebration in the Bay Area

San Francisco alumni, new grads, and interns headed over to Hops and Hominy for the chapter’s summer celebration. The group networked and enjoyed each other’s company with food, drinks, and stories. The group was joined by Josh Alexander, faculty director for Bay Area for McCombs, Katie Lewis, senior program coordinator for Bay Area for McCombs, and Dan Cournoyer from the Texas McCombs Alumni team.

McCombs, Moody, and Texas Law Came Together for the Los Angeles Summer Celebration

Caulfield’s Bar and Dining Room was packed as our Los Angeles Summer Celebration was conjoined with Moody College of Communication and Texas Law. The UT alumni welcomed new grads and interns to Southern California and shared the ins-and-outs about working in the area.

Dean Hartzell Attends Houston Chapter Summer Celebration

The Houston Chapter hosted a fun and engaging Texas McCombs Summer Celebration for alumni, 2019 graduates who are new to the area, and interns living in the city for the summer. Dean Hartzell gave a school update and hosted a special Q&A session for attendees. The McCombs group networked at The Dunlavy, all while enjoying the great company and a beautiful view.

Dallas Chapter Kicks Off Texas McCombs Summer Celebrations

The Dallas Chapter hosted a happy hour reception for alumni, 2019 graduates, and current students interning in the city for the summer. About 50 members of the McCombs community came out to the beautiful outdoor patio at the Water Grill to network and share the ins-and-outs of living and working in the Dallas area!

Alumni and Current Students Network in the Bay Area

The San Francisco Chapter and the Bay Area for McCombs Board hosted an alumni reception at SOMA Eats. The event brought together McCombs alumni, board members, and current Texas MBA students in town for a career trek. The reception was a great opportunity for students to visit with alumni about living and working in the Bay Area.

Alumni Reconnect at the Monthly Austin Chapter Breakfast

Local McCombs alumni kicked off the New Year at their monthly breakfast meeting at Stinson’s Bistro. The breakfast had record attendance and alumni had a wonderful time reconnecting. Graduates enjoyed coffee and breakfast while mingling and learning of upcoming speakers and chapter programming.

The McCombs School Announces New MBA Advisory Board Members and Executive Committee Leadership for Fall 2018

The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin announces the appointment of the following members to its MBA Advisory Board.

The McCombs School of Business MBA Advisory Board formed in 2008. Members assist the dean, associate dean of graduate programs, faculty, and staff of the McCombs School of Business in achieving and maintaining “best of class” status for the MBA programs. Members support the MBA program’s strategy planning, curricula, external affairs, alumni engagement, fundraising efforts, and student placement. Member nominations are accepted on a rolling basis. The executive committee considers nominations for membership each spring and new three-year terms begin Sept. 1.
