Dean Hartzell Attends Houston Chapter Summer Celebration

The Houston Chapter hosted a fun and engaging Texas McCombs Summer Celebration for alumni, 2019 graduates who are new to the area, and interns living in the city for the summer. Dean Hartzell gave a school update and hosted a special Q&A session for attendees. The McCombs group networked at The Dunlavy, all while enjoying the great company and a beautiful view.

Class Note: Rahul Singh, PHD ’98

Rahul Singh, PHD alumnus, co-founded Entercoms in 2008 to improve service supply chains for enterprises and end users via the company’s BPaaS delivery model. Entercoms’ use of the model ensures a 90-day turnaround of real outcomes with no change to a company’s existing systems.

Entercoms has racked up accolades, including a Gartner Cool Vendor 2016 in Supply Chain Services, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2012 and a Winner’s Circle membership in the HfS Blueprint Report.

Class Note: Jared Polites, BBA ’10

Class Note: Scott Raskin, BBA ’85

Scott Raskin has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for Neology, Inc., a leading provider of integrated, end-to-end solutions for the tolling, electronic vehicle registration (EVR) and public safety markets.

“I am thrilled to join the Neology board at this exciting phase of the company.  With over 200 patents and a highly experienced team, Neology is uniquely positioned to shape the future of transportation by delivering substantial value to both private industry and governments with its advanced tolling, ITS, and ALPR solutions. I am excited to be working with Francisco, the board and management team,” said Raskin.

Class Note: Rafia Hasan, MBA ’10

Rafia Hasan, MBA alumnus, joined Wipfli in 2014 as a senior associate consultant. Over a five-year period, the firm has promoted her to director of investments, co-chief investment officer, and last year to chief investment officer. She is now joining the ownership team as its newest principal.
