JLL’s Austin office continued its expansion, adding hospitality veteran and BBA alumnus Joe Dowdle, to the mix. In his new role as Senior Vice President, Joe will work with clients on hospitality site selection and land transactions, as well as acquisitions and dispositions.

MPA alumnus Jason Danziger has joined Avalon Investment & Advisory as Director and Wealth Advisor. Jason joins Avalon with a background that includes financial, estate and tax planning having spent the past 16 years with accountancy, trust and wealth management firms.
Most recently, he worked in Goldman Sachs’ Family Office Services assisting ultra-high-net-worth families and their accountants on estate and tax planning, philanthropic giving, risk planning and other solutions.

McCombs alumni, new grads, and interns met up in the Mile High City for their Summer Celebration. Staff from the MBA Program Office, including Tina Mabley, associate dean of the Full-Time MBA Program, also joined the group. The event was held at Tap Fourteen, a rooftop beer garden in Denver. Everyone enjoyed socializing and creating new connections.

San Francisco alumni, new grads, and interns headed over to Hops and Hominy for the chapter’s summer celebration. The group networked and enjoyed each other’s company with food, drinks, and stories. After making the most of the past decade, Khaled Salem is now one of Houston Business Journal’s 2019 40 Under 40 honorees. Khaled founded his Houston-based real estate firm Williamsburg Enterprises in 2009. Since then, the company has invested in more than 100 projects across the country, often partnering with local and national development firms.

Jessica Marshall, BBA alumna, and Ghislain de Kertanguy tied the knot on Saturday, June 8. While Jessica stunned in her Oscar de la Renta gown, the couple got married at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. After the ceremony, friends and family celebrated at a beautiful reception held at The Country Club of Little Rock.
Jessica is an executive director at JP Morgan Private Bank. After their honeymoon in New Zealand and Fiji, the couple will live in New York.

Kathy Goldenberg, BBA alumna, was recently nominated as the new president of the New Jersey State Board of Education.
“I am honored to have been nominated by my fellow State Board of Education members,” Goldenberg said. “I look forward to continue working with our board, the Commissioner of Education, our Department of Education staff and our public school educators within New Jersey. I have tremendous respect for our public school systems and the multitudes of opportunities they provide our students.”
