Robert Thaxton’s career with U.S. Energy began in 2014 as a member of the firm’s engineering department. In 2020, Robert was promoted to senior strategist, where he facilitated the company’s strategic positioning, evaluation of new business strategies, and the development of risk management initiatives designed to protect the organization’s core interests.
Thaxton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a certificate in conflict resolution from Cornell University. READ MORE

Before joining KION, Rob Smith was President & CEO of the publicly listed Finnish group Konecranes, a leading international manufacturer of industrial cranes and container port automation. From 2013 to 2019, he was Senior Vice President & General Manager Europe, Africa and Middle East of the global agricultural machinery company AGCO Corporation. Prior to that, he held management positions in automotive supply and capital goods companies in the U.S., France and Germany. Smith holds a BSE in Systems Engineering from Princeton University, an MBA in International Operations & Finance from the University of Texas at Austin – Red McCombs School of Business. He earned his Diplom-Kaufmann and Dr. rer. pol. degrees from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Koblenz, Germany and wrote his dissertation on Global Supply Chain Performance and Risk Optimisation. Trey Willerson has joined Texas Regional Bank (TRB) as Chief Investment Officer, tasked with leading the investment functions of the Trust and Wealth Management division. With over twenty-five years of experience managing portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and family offices, Willerson brings expertise in fundamental research analysis within multiple sectors. Brendon Fischer has been appointed as the interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sow Good Inc., effective April 2, 2024, following the resignation of the former CFO, Keith Terreri. Fischer brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience, including roles at Fischer Capital Management and Rocky Mountain Advisors. Texas senior guard Shay Holle earns Academic All-America Team honors while excelling in both basketball and academics. She’s just the second Texas women’s basketball player to receive this recognition. Holle, who holds a finance degree from McCombs School of Business, is pursuing a master’s in strategic communications after completing her undergraduate degree in three years. Despite her academic achievements, she made significant contributions on the court, making 26 starts and averaging 7.6 points per game.
