The McCombs Austin Alumni Chapter Presents Achieve Financial Success in 2025 and Beyond

Jim McMullan, MBA ’96, will discuss investing from a wealth management perspective. We will review the seven pillars of wealth management that provide a framework for financial success: investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, risk management, cash flow management, and legacy planning.
Lina and Jim will review the best ways to make progress toward long-term financial goals whether you are new to investing or a seasoned veteran. In addition, they will present various detailed scenarios to open up the discussion to attendees. We’ll design a plan together to make 2025 a professionally and financially successful year!
After the event those interested will adjourn to the beautiful Otopia Rooftop Lounge at the Otis Hotel across the street from Rowling Hall for libations, networking, and ongoing discussion.
Parking is available in the AT&T Conference Center and Robert Rowling Hall garages located on 20th Street. Standard rates apply. Free street parking is available in the government district below Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

In our upcoming in-person workshop, Suzanne shares tips, insights, advice, and ideas to help attendees think differently and take action to create a more balanced lifestyle. She’ll discuss different sides of work-life balance to help you:
· Shift your mindset
· Define and maintain boundaries
· Work smarter at work and home
· Network intentionally
As part of this workshop, Suzanne will lead the group in a vision board exercise to help you set intentions/goals for 2025 and map how to make those a reality! And we’ll have time for a Q&A so that you can ask your burning questions about work-life balance.
Suzanne Brown is a fractional CMO and work-life balance speaker, consultant, and author of the award-winning Mompowerment books. She enables companies to support working parents’ work-life balance needs and empowers working moms and dads to create a more balanced lifestyle. She uses her own experience and extensive research as well as tips, insights, and advice from interviews with more than 110 working moms to help you think differently and take action. She is a contributor to Harvard Business
Review and she has been featured in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Real Simple, and Forbes. Suzanne has been interviewed on more than 45 podcasts, and she’s done a TED talk. She received an MBA, BBA & BA from The University of Texas at Austin. Suzanne, her husband, and their two active young boys live in Austin, TX.

Wearstler is the founder and principal of “Kelly Wearstler” and is known for creating multi-faceted, experiential residential, hospitality, commercial and retail environments as well as expansive collections of lifestyle product designs.
With the demonstration of provocative concepts and expressive narratives signature to her extensive body of work, Wearstler is internationally recognized with distinctive design awards and numerous publications. Among Wearstler’s most notable projects are Santa Monica Proper Hotel, Austin Proper Hotel, San Francisco Proper Hotel, Four Seasons Anguilla, BG Restaurant at Bergdorf Goodman, the Viceroy Hotels and Residences, Westfield Century City, Tides Miami and custom residences for high-profile private clients.
