Class Note: Michael Laitkep, BBA ’17

Michael Laitkep, BBA ’17, is an Energy Research Analyst at Alerian, which equips investors to make informed decisions about energy infrastructure and Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs). Mr. Laitkep seeks to promote understanding of the Alerian Index Series and support broader understanding of the role that midstream assets play in North American energy markets.

Class Note: Michael Stewart, MBA ’04

Before joining Saline Health System as CEO on Nov. 30, Michael Stewart, MBA ’04, was the CEO of Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Texas, a position he had held since 2014. Before that job, he spent two years as the COO and administrator of Northwest Health System in Springdale.

Class Note: Kevin Johnson, MBA ’14

Kevin Johnson, MBA ’14, has been promoted to Principal for The CapStreet Group.

Mr. Johnson interned for CapStreet during the summer of 2013 and joined CapStreet full time in upon his completion of the MBA program. Prior to obtaining his MBA, Mr. Johnson worked for two years at Morgan Stanley in Chicago and two years with Brentwood Associates in Los Angeles. Read more here.

CEO of AlertMedia and MBA ’99 alum, Brian Cruver, secured $25M funding for hiring, overseas expansion on tap. AlertMedia’s customers already include DHL, British Petroleum and Walmart, but with this new funding in the bank, Mr. Cruver wants to reach “tens of thousands of companies around the world.” Read more. 

Class Note: Kirk Goehring, BBA ’07

The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Jones Energy, Inc. promoted Kirk Goehring, 34, the Company’s Vice President of Strategy and an executive officer of the Company, to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Goehring has served in various operating, corporate development, and finance roles at the Company since September 2012.  Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Goehring was an Associate at Metalmark Capital and an Investment Banking Analyst at Greenhill & Co. and Bear Stearns & Co. Mr. Goehring received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Read more here

Class Note: Jaime Easley, MPA ’01, Appointed Vice President, CFO of SPX Flow

SPX FLOW, Inc., a leading global provider of process solutions and flow control technology, today announced the appointments of Jaime Easley as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Ryan Taylor as Chief Strategy Officer, effective immediately.

Easley has served as Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer and Taylor has served as Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations since the company’s spin off from SPX Corporation in September 2015. Easley will succeed Jeremy Smeltser who has resigned from the company after serving as Vice President and CFO over the past three years.
