Austin Climate Hub is hosting “Why Invest in Climate-Tech Now?”, a panel discussion featuring leading Austin-based climate-tech founders and investors, on Thursday, February 22 in RRH 4.408. Networking happy hour begins at 5:30 PM, and the panel discussion starts at 6:15 PM. Register here.

Texas Venture Labs and the Global Sustainability Leadership Institute are co-hosting “Perfecting the Pitch: How to Sell Your Venture,” a pitch workshop led by Brian Hill, the founder of Edovo. This is a great opportunity for students interested in pitching their startup at the TVL Investment Competition or GSLI’s SEED Challenge. The McCombs Graduate Entrepreneurship Society’s Meeting of the Minds is a monthly meetup for UT graduate student entrepreneurs that features a presentation by a student-run business along with networking and collaboration opportunities. The next Meeting of the Minds is happening on Wednesday, February 28 from noon to 1 PM at Texas Venture Labs, RRH 1.354.

KS WELI is hosting “Future Focused: Setting Goals You Can Achieve,” a panel discussion featuring the founders of Hem Support Wear, pc: the davids, Collegiate and Get In The Path on Wednesday, February 21 at 6:00 PM at the Kendra Scott Center. Click here to register.

The LaunchPad is hosting its 2nd Annual Student Founder Fest on March 7 from 5-10PM, a SXSW-inspired event that celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit within UT and the Austin small business community. The event includes a student vendor market, live music, a keynote speaker, and the MakerLaunch Pitch Competition, a platform for artisans, creators, inventors and other founders in non-tech sectors to showcase their businesses. Student Founder Fest is free for UT Austin students, faculty, and staff. Alumni and community members can join for just $20. All tickets (free and paid) can be reserved here. Students interested in competing in the MakerLaunch Pitch Competition can apply here through Feb. 25.

The UT Energy Institute and the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center present UT Energy Week on March 25-29 in Robert Rowling Hall and the AT&T Conference Center. UT Energy Week connects students, researchers, faculty, energy professionals, and industry leaders across disciplines and sectors to build community, facilitate strategic partnerships, and advance research.
