Stress Management & Collective Care for BIPOC First Gen Grad Students: Tuesday, April 20th, 12-1:00PM CST

A workshop focused on student’s mental health and provides an opportunity to meet, share and learn skills to navigate life successfully as a BIPOC first gen graduate student while increasing community. We will engage in interactive exercises aimed at de-stigmatizing mental health issues by learning how to recognize the symptoms of stress which can include but are not limited to, culturally-specific family pressures and expectations, experience of racial stress, belongingness, and any other topics that feel relevant to participants.

Developing Financial Wellness as a BIPOC First Gen Grad Student: Tuesday, April 29th, 5-6:15PM CST

A workshop focused on financial wellness and financial literacy. We will discuss various topics such as budgeting like a graduate student, student loan debt, building credit, working towards retirement and general guidance on financial planning. Together we will collectively create a growing list that supports our financial literacy.
