Graduating MPA Students,

 

Now is the time to nominate yourself to be one our MPA student speakers at the MPA Commencement ceremony. Please provide the following information to MPAEvents@mccombs.utexas.edu by Tuesday, April 21 (we know this is short notice, but we have just been notified of deadlines for video submissions for the virtual Commencement ceremony). The MPA Program Office will review student speaker nominations, and nominees will be notified of our decision (whether or not they were selected) approximately a day later. If you are chosen, your speech will be recorded via Zoom and presented at the MPA Virtual Commencement Ceremony.

  1. Why do you feel you would make a good Commencement speaker? What are your qualifications?
  2. Please provide a short summary of the main topic(s) of your speech.
  3. Provide a short video** (2 minutes or less) of yourself delivering either the introductory or concluding remarks of your speech.
    **We are looking for simple cell phone videos, so please do not feel like you need video editing skills to produce this. The MPA Commencement speaker selection committee will use these videos in evaluating the nominees.**

 

*The University is moving a virtual Commencement format. You will be receiving details on both The University Wide Ceremony and the MPA Program Office Ceremony next week.

 

**Please be sure to update your address with UT here. This is very important to ensure your diploma is mailed to the correct address.
