They specialize in providing professional marketing of privately owned middle market, and smaller businesses in a wide range of industries in a confidential manner. The firm was founded in Austin, Texas in 1984 and has four full-time professionals on its staff. They are currently looking for a spring intern. 

Job Description
The part-time financial analyst intern will work closely with senior, experienced investment bankers on mergers & acquisitions and divestiture transactions. This paid position requires at least 15 hours per week, with occasional greater demand.

The KEY responsibilities will be to provide a supporting role in the following areas:

  • Perform financial analysis for assigned client companies, including preparation of valuation analysis and financial models using the firm’s proprietary templates.
  • Prepare marketing packages and pitch materials for client proposals.
  • Gather industry information from primary and secondary research sources including the Internet, databases, trade publications and periodicals.
  • Prepare confidential offering memorandum and other marketing materials for the purpose of marketing client companies.
  • Assist in maintaining company files in support of client engagements.
  • Assist in client communications.
  • Other responsibilities and duties, as needed from time-to-time, in support of client services.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong academic background in business, finance or accounting.
  • Exceptional MS Excel modeling capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong personal character, flexible, hard-working and resourceful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products, including PowerPoint, as well as online research tools.
  • Knowledge of private equity industry a plus.
