The Office of Graduate Studies can nominate up to three UT graduate students for the Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fellowships for 2014/2015. The MPA Program Office will collect and pre-screen the students’ applications and forward no more than 2 nominations to Graduate Studies.

The terms of the fellowships are very attractive, providing the costs of study, tuition, room and board and ordinary living expenses, as well as income taxes on the money received—in the past this has typically amounted to $18,000 plus tuition for nine months.  Recipients can apply for renewal of the fellowship for two additional years, and to date all renewal requests have been approved.  Applicants must be citizens of the United States.  An unusual feature of the application is that the applicant must declare that he or she is not an advocate or supporter of communism.  There is no restriction on field and no age requirement.

All required materials must reach Graduate Studies by January 8, 2014.  Therefore, submit your applications to the MPA Program Office as soon as possible so that they can be reviewed and the top 2 applications can be sent to Graduate Studies by that date.

APPLICATION: There are hard copies of the application in the paperwork rack in the MPA Program Office. Click the following link for an electronic copy: Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fellowships Application. For further information contact Elizabeth M. Korves at 512-232-3603.
