The Undergraduate Business Council presents a Faculty Research Presentation that provides insight on the effects of tax avoidance on the world. Dr. Jeri Seidman outlines the different research methods and topic areas in academic accounting. Then, she will delve into tax research from topics from investing, foreign affiliations, to race horses!

Jeri Seidman received her Ph.D from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008. Her research interest includes corporate tax, financial reporting of income taxes and multi-jurisdictional transfer pricing. Prior to returning to grad school, Jeri received her B.S. and MAcc. (tax concentration) from Case Western Reserve University and worked in Deloitte & Touche’s tax practice for five years.

This is an exciting opportunity to find out the extent of taxes impact this Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Food and drink will also be provided.
