Interested in sustainability? Want to be a part of making UT more sustainable? Apply to be a Green Fee Committee (GFC) Member. As a member you will help make decisions about what sustainability projects will be funded by the Green Fee paid by students every semester. Your ideas will help shape sustainability efforts on campus.

The UT Green Fee Committee is seeking applicants for an open At-Large student slot. Applications will be accepted now through October 5 at the following weblink: http://tinyurl.com/GFCmembership

The UT Green Fee is an internal grant program that supports environmental service projects for campus. The Committee has nine members and meets monthly throughout the year, and weekly in late April and May to assess and award funds to grantees. Each meeting is 1 – 2 hours and is scheduled around members’ commitments. Desired skills: enthusiasm for sustainability, willingness to provide input and consider other people’s ideas, commitment to attending meetings and responding to emails. More information can be found on the main Green Fee website, www.utexas.edu/sustainability/greenfee.php. There are no prerequisites for membership other than current enrollment as a UT student, and ability to serve at minimum through May 31, 2013.
