Description:
This position provides strategic event marketing support to Boeing’s growing space systems and commercial and government satellite programs, as well as to other Boeing businesses and sites as required.
The position reports to the Manager-Customer Event Marketing for Boeing Space & Intelligence Systems in El Segundo, CA.  It includes responsibility for planning, managing and executing U.S. Department of Defense customer and senior executive and international high level briefings and product tours. The position-holder will plan and execute on-site customer events and briefings, manage vendors, negotiate contracts, prepare and deliver executive event briefs, lead or assist with customer engagements at trade shows and other venues, and assess event effectiveness.  In addition, the position-holder will work closely with Marketing and Business Development focals on customer engagement and event marketing strategies.
The position-holder must have demonstrated leadership, event planning, marketing, communications and teambuilding skills and be flexible, innovative and decisive. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, and create and maintain effective working relationships and customer partnerships. A good working knowledge of U.S. government and DoD protocol, U.S. government policies, and some experience with international cultures and customs are preferred.
Additional:
The candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain a TS/SSBI (Top Secret/Single Scope Background Investigation).  Certified Meeting Professional or other event marketing industry certification is preferred.  Some international and domestic travel is required.  Work may consist of other than normal hours to support customer activities.
