Position: Event Manager

Chris Wayne & Associates (CWA) is a small but growing event production and political communications firm in Washington, DC and is looking for an experienced, outgoing, energetic and ambitious individual to fill an Event Manager position.

From international summits to gala dinners, press conferences to cross-country marketing tours, CWA brings innovation, creativity and experience to all of your most important communications projects. We work with high-profile clients both nationwide and worldwide, and approach each event with a fresh perspective based on the unique culture and brand identity of every client.

As an event manager you will:

  • Serve as the primary contact to each client, working as the project manager for assigned events
  • Maintain each project from beginning to end, ranging from work on the proposal and contract to the actual implementation on the day of the event
  • Work with other event manager and assistant event managers to execute tasks and projects in a timely manner
  • Work with our auxiliary/partner teams to accomplish the creation and execution of production elements such as logo/branding, graphics and technical setup at the venue

We are looking for:

  • An individual with 3-5 years professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Background in event planning, political advance work and political campaigns a plus
  • An outgoing, energetic, yet poised person, who can maintain a successful client interface
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under high pressure and under strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a small-team environment
  • Flexibility in working long hours and occasional weekends during events
  • A positive and personable individual
