Weaver is seeking Advisory Interns for the fall of 2011 in our Houston or Austin office that will be responsible for consistently performing and taking
ownership of assigned areas, small projects, and small engagements under the supervision of more experienced team members. Candidates will be responsible for learning and understanding general accounting and internal control concepts, financial statement close process and how internal controls impact financial statement preparation and disclosure.  The candidates should possess basic familiarity with GAAP, GAAS, and IIA standards. Candidates should be pursuing their Masters Degree in Accounting and plan to pursue their CPA and/or CIA license after graduation.
