Scholarship Opportunity: William Powers Jr. Endowed Scholarship
The Senate of College Councils is privileged to be able to offer opportunities for financial assistance in the form of scholarships to students each year. Senate is currently offering the William Powers Jr. Endowed Scholarship, which aims to recognize outstanding student leaders for their contribution to the UT community. Applicants will be considered for an award up to $1,500 based on the following qualifications:
- Contribution to the University
- Involvement in the community
- Involvement on campus
- Job/work experience and involvement
- Financial need will be considered in order to decide between equally meritorious students with comparable leadership abilities
Submissions will be evaluated by the Senate of College Councils William Powers Endowed Scholarship Board on the basis of academic excellence and leadership contributions displayed while a student at the University of Texas. Finalists will be invited to interview in late November.
