Join Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs for an info session to learn how MBA students participating in this elective can earn course credit while getting hands-on experience with our JBTVL Accelerator startups, expand their knowledge base and their networks, and become strong leaders in their future careers.

The JBTVL Practicum Class is a cross-campus elective course that teaches graduate students how to work and consult with startups. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team on a project-driven curriculum that immerses you in market analysis and research, teaches about early-stage ventures, and provides a framework for strategically thinking through business problems to directly deliver positive outcomes for Austin startups. MPA students should reach out to their academic advisor to discuss how this course credit can apply to their degree plan.   

Fun fact: the majority of our students come from UT’s non-business colleges, so this is a fantastic opportunity to network outside of McCombs! We always receive positive feedback from MBA students with an interest in entrepreneurship or consulting projects.

Our JBTVL Practicum is a cross-campus, 3.0 CR elective course that teaches grad students how to work with/consult with startups.
