TVLIC Open to Student Ventures

The application to compete in the Texas Venture Labs Investment Competition (TVLIC) is now open. TVLIC is designed to mimic the real-world process of raising venture capital. UT Austin graduate students can apply starting now through April 20, 2016. Applying is easy – fill out the application form and submit an executive summary of your business (2 pages) with financial projections. The Semifinals will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the AT&T Center. The winners of each Semifinals division will compete in the Finals on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the AT&T Center. The first place prize includes $10,000, one year at Austin Technology Incubator (ATI), assistance in raising funds and the opportunity to join TVL in closing the Nasdaq in June. Second place prize is $5,000. There are also cash prizes for clean technology ventures and ventures with one or more U.S. military veteran founders.
