Staff Accountant Position in Austin
La Corsha Hospitality Group is looking to hire an entry-level accountant. La Corsha currently owns or manages six unique operations, including Congress, Second Bar + Kitchen, Bar Congress, and Wonderland. The office is small so this is a position with plenty of growth potential.
Job Description:
- Maintain the daily accounting of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring acceptable levels of internal control, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and promoting the safeguarding of owners/investors assets.
- Assist in the preparation of all monthly and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Statistics and Forecast) in accordance with requirements.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with debt and lease requirements.
- Support and assist where appropriate the administration and oversight of property Risk Management programs.
- Assist in the effective management and communication of cash flow related issues. This includes the accurate and timely preparation of cash flow statements, management of receivables, payables, cash balances, control mechanisms and timely deposits of all funds.
- Provide analysis and feedback to the property operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining the financial objectives.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is required.
- Must possess strong PC skills, including Word and Excel. Develop or work with computer spreadsheets using complex formulas and a variety of financial and other mathematical functions.
- Interpret and apply written instructions correctly.
- Must be able to clearly convey information and ideas including complex or technical issues, orally and in writing.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
