The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is currently accepting applications for an internship in the Finance Department for Spring 2013. The Finance department is responsible for the planning, control, and administration of the financial operations of the museum. The intern will assist with each area of the department and gain exposure to the type of work performed by the entire department. Some of these areas include: internal audit/quality assurance, budget, financial analysis, audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, form 990 preparation and financial reporting.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have attained or be in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, and must be at least junior-year college level or above to be eligible for the program. Fluency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required. Candidates should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional demeanor. All internships are unpaid and require a minimum time commitment of 2 days per week.
