CORPORATE TAXATION – FALL 2011 – DEADLINE 04/04/11 – REQ #14853

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of various schedules needed to complete tax returns.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing information needed in the conduct of an IRS federal income tax audit.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing information needed in the conduct of various state and local tax audits including but not limited to sales and use, income, and property.
  • Conduct tax research and prepare decision grids in support of various projects.
  • Utilize imaging software to produce documents for sales and use tax audits.
  • Interface with departments outside of tax to gather supporting documentation for various projects and audits.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

  • Progress towards degree with a major/minor in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a business related major with an emphasis in Tax.
  • Minimum junior level.
  • To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours.)
  • Maintained 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate Level course work a plus.
  • Coursework in Tax or Accounting preferred.
  • Looking for an individual who is motivated.
  • Previous tax experience or tax internship is preferred.
  • Desire/Interest to work in the field of Tax is preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

  • Must possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with tax research software programs preferred.
  • Able to create basic databases and charts using Excel.
  • Able to use Word to write memos communicating the result of their work.
  • Able to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications.
  • Must possess excellent organizational  and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as part of a team.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING INTERN – FALL 2011 – DEADLINE 4/4/10 – REQ #14857

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with monthly financial close process.
  • Assist with internal/external financial statement creation, including SEC filings.
  • Assist with audits of Company 401(k) and Profitsharing Plans.
  • Create/review process documentation of internal controls.
  • Ad Hoc projects and research.
  • Participate in the learning of SAP Platform system (general ledger.)
