We are looking for an intern in the Austin area to represent Warner Bros. Pictures, conducting on-campus promotions and assisting in promotional screenings of upcoming motion pictures in the Austin area.

Following are qualifications Warner Bros. is looking for:

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have 3.0 grade point average
  • Should be very active on campus with knowledge of campus activities and events that are suited for our promotions
  • Should be able to obtain contacts with campus organizations, college newspaper, etc. for setting on-campus promotions
  • Should have a professional appearance

Description of duties:

  • Setting up grassroots promotions: Calling local businesses to set up poster displays, to coordinate third-party prizing, or ticket giveaways, etc.
  • Brainstorming promotional ideas with Warner Bros. team
  • Setting up college screenings as needed
  • Assisting with WB promotional screenings
  • Assisting with other WB events:
    • Bar promotions: Set up bar promotions on campus or near the UT campus. Contact bar managers and set up a movie ticket and promo items giveaway during peak hours. Come up with creative ways to give away the tickets and make an “event” out of each bar night (specialized shots, contests to give away the tickets, make bartenders and wait staff wear the film’s t-shirts, tie-in with trivia night, etc.). Films that will need bar promotions include:  RED RIDING HOOD, SUCKER PUNCH, ARTHUR, SOMETHING BORROWED, and THE HANGOVER PART 2.
  • Submit photos of events to Field Agency contacts (Tanya Schmidt and Russ Brantzeg) for reporting

 The Warner Bros. intern will be paid TBD (between $200 and $300, pending WB approval) per month, regardless of the amount of promotional activities they will set up.  We would like them to work the entire school year.
