Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs)
Global Universities Program/Global Business Webinars
In recent years, the prominence of Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs) and their activity in the financial markets has increased significantly. SWFs are state-owned enterprises with much of their assets invested overseas in foreign countries. Currently over 20 countries have these funds and their investments dramatically impact our markets.
With over US$ 3 trillion of assets under management currently, a likely trajectory of $10 trillion could reach our markets by 2012. Deloitte subject matter experts will cover the following Sovereign Wealth Fund related topics:
• What are they? Where are they?
• How do they influence your lives?
• With over $3 trillion to invest – where do they put their money?
• Money talks, but do we want SWF money?
• Corporate & social responsibilities
• Are SWFs friends of Western economies?
• Portrait of a SWF
• A look into SWFs future
Following a short presentation, participants will be invited to ask questions or share comments.
