Nucleate Texas is hosting a Cocktail Happy Hour on Monday, Oct. 2 at 6:00 PM at Gabriel’s, 1900 University Ave. Nucleate is a student-run nonprofit organization that facilitates the formation of new life science ventures. Nucleate’s equity-free Activator program supports emerging bio & eco-tech entrepreneurs coming from academia who plan to tackle the biggest challenges in human health (Bio Track) and sustainability (Eco Track) by building life science companies. McCombs’ Graduate Entrepreneurship Society is holding its Founder Seed Dating event on Wednesday, Oct. 11 in RRH 5.210 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. This networking event is a great way for student founders and students interested in working with student startups to meet, share ideas and potentially find their perfect business match! The ORCA Network and the Honors Fund are hosting their Southwest Region University Pitch Competition on Oct. 25. This pitch competition is open to B2B SaaS startups with an in-house tech team or plans to take it in-house. At least one founder must be a student, recent grad (less than 12 months) or post-doc with plans to pursue the company full-time. The deadline to apply is Oct. 8. Go HERE to learn more.
