What is 40 Hours for the Forty Acres?
Now in its fourth year, 40 Hours for the Forty Acres is an annual university-wide, 40-hour fundraising event designed to inspire students, alumni and friends to make a gift to the university or to the programs or schools on campus that are meaningful to them. For 40 hours, we encourage you, Longhorn Nation, to come together as a community and show your support.

When is it?
40 Hours for the Forty Acres will run from 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, through 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Why should I participate in 40 Hours for the Forty Acres?
Philanthropy has become an increasingly critical part of the university’s support. It funds many scholarships for students who otherwise would not be able to attend college and supports the university’s top-notch faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and hands-on learning opportunities for students. Giving back is one of the greatest things we can do for our university and for future Longhorns. Whether you can give $5 or $500, you are part of Longhorn Nation, and you can help make a difference.
