The MPA Program Office is excited to welcome Hash Mahmoud, who joins the office as a Front Desk Assistant. Hash grew up in Austin and is a student in the Econ-MSF (Economics – Master of Science in Finance) program graduating in 2018. As a student worker at the front desk, Hash schedules appointments, answers questions, and helps out with office projects. You’ll probably see Hash in the MPA Office sometime soon!

We asked Hash a few questions to get to know him…

  • If you could be an Olympic athlete what sport would you compete in?
    Diving! – The feeling of jumping 30 meters above the water is incredible!
  • As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    Pilot.
  • If you could meet any celebrity who would it be and why?
    Tom Hanks – In my opinion, no actor can top his portrayal as Forrest Gump.
  • Choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?
    33 – It’s a solid age as I would be older and wiser.
  • Why are you excited to work with MPA students?
    The program is number one in the nation. Working with students who are dedicated to accounting will make it a great opportunity to network.
