BBA Career Services is seeking student workers for three different positions during the Fall 2016 – Spring 2017 school year. Click on the position titles below for detailed job descriptions, requirements, and qualifications. These positions are for MPAs graduating in May and August 2017.

BA 101 Teaching Assistant Fall 2016 – Spring 2017
BA 101 Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

  • TAs will be assigned to one section of BA 101. They will be expected to attend that section of class each week.
  • TAs will lead the grading/attendance tracking duties for the class instructor. This will include providing substantive feedback on the resume and cover letter assignments and the grading of other assignments.
  • TAs will manage the grade/attendance recording in the Canvas system. TAs may be charged with posting and distribution of course documents in class and on Canvas.
  • TAs will be asked to demonstrate examples of professional behavior in the job search process during class including answering interview questions, giving their “30 second introduction,” etc.
  • TAs will provide some 1-on-1 career advising, answer general career questions and act as a resource for BA 101 students during class and during TA office hours.

Data Specialist Posting Fall 2016-Spring 2017
Primary Job Duties:

  • Assist Career Coach, Assistant Director, and Director in tracking internship and full-time job offer data of undergraduate students
  • Utilize online offer system to create/manage Excel spreadsheets to track data
  • Track data in Excel spreadsheets, create pivot tables, and calculate percentages
  • Generate data for Business Week Statistics – used for Business School rankings
  • Create reports on a weekly basis (audience: Career Coaches, Dean Hartzell, Faculty, etc.)
  • Generate reports weekly based on requests “on-demand reports” turnaround time, typically only one or two days.

Student Technician Posting Fall 2016 – Spring 2017 
Purpose/Function: To provide advanced skills to the front desk operations of the BBA Career Services office, which includes assistance with career resources and answering questions from the general public (both prospective and current students/employers) and serving in a leadership role to other student workers. Opportunity to begin working in Summer 2016.
