Are you interested in a part-time job that allows you to apply your accounting education and learn transferable skills?  Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP, Central Texas’ largest locally-owned public accounting firm, is seeking candidates for a temporary, part-time tax role in the Austin and/or Round Rock offices for January – mid-April 2016.

This position will allow you to:

  • Apply your MPA education and gain hands-on experience during the busiest part of the year for tax professionals
  • Prepare federal income tax returns and assist in various tax consulting projects
  • Participate in client interaction opportunities
  • Collaborate with tax associates and a tax partner
  • Connect with a dedicated mentor
  • Engage in training on our computer programs and tax return procedures

Applicants must:

  • Have completed individual taxation, entity taxation, and tax research or have had a prior tax internship or tax work experience if not all the classes have been taken.
  • Be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.  Your schedule can be worked with, but good availability during business hours is requested to train and work with tax associates.
