RSVP for MPA Commencement
Graduating MPA Students,
Congratulations!
Your MPA Commencement ceremony will take place Friday, May 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Gregory Gym. There will be a reception beforehand at 1:00 p.m. in the McCombs Atrium.
It’s time to RSVP to attend the MPA Commencement Ceremony. This is an MPA-specific ceremony. This is the ceremony you attend if you are graduating with an MPA degree this year. If you are ONLY earning a BBA degree then you will not attend this ceremony for another year.

Key points about the RSVP:
- If you are graduating with your MPA degree you must complete the RSVP survey, even if you are not planning to attend. We need to know other information, such as how you want your name to look in the program.
- Your families and friends do not need to RSVP. You will include the number of guests on your RSVP. If at some point you need to change your number of guests by one or two, you don’t need to let the MPA Office know. We just need an approximation for the venues and the caterer.
- Please be aware that RSVPing for the ceremony is not the same as applying for the degree. If you are officially receiving the MPA degree this spring, please refer to the emails from your academic advisors with application instructions. If you are receiving the MPA degree this summer, you will RSVP for the ceremony now, and wait to apply for the degree in the summer.
There is information on the MPA website regarding the ceremony. This is where you will find information regarding regalia, parking, accommodations for elderly and disabled guests, and so on.
Here is a document that you can send to your family and friends. Your family especially wants to know what is going on with Commencement, so please forward the document to them.
Regarding MPA Commencement information; make sure to keep up with e-mails and here on the MPA Weekly Blog for information!
