40 Hours for the Forty Acres (40 for 40) is a brand new giving campaign designed to get students involved in supporting an important UT presidential and campus initiative – get students and alumni involved during this last year of the Campaign for Texas.

Our goal is to involve at least 400 student donors in this exciting event. The event will be a multi-tiered fundraising event that includes a live student event on Gregory Plaza, social media blasts, emails, and more.

As an example, a student organization in the French Department might want to raise money for a particular scholarship or faculty member, or student veterans might want to raise money to support services for returning soldiers who are also students. So long as the goal is to support a department, program, or initiative of UT, your ideas have no limit.

We are offering student organizations the opportunity to fundraise for the University.  In addition, we will be supporting five University departments that support students, such as the Student Endowed Centennial Lectureship and the Student Emergency Fund.

We will feature several of these organizations on our web page during the campaign, and organizations  will be asked to table on April 4th during this inaugural event.
