Short Bio:
Ellis Armstrong has a PhD in Civil Engineering from Imperial College and an MBA from Stanford University and joined BP in 1983. He has been the president of BP Venezuela and witnessed the merger of BP and Amoco. Since then, he has been appointed Group Vice-President Upstream for the Caribbean and Latin America. In this role, he had responsibility for the operations of BPā€™s extensive upstream oil and gas operations in Trinidad & Tobago and Latin America. In 2003, Ellis returned to London and after a series of multiple promotions, he took on the role as Chief Financial Officer of Exploration and Production.
