Teaching English Abroad-Tuesday, March 1st 5-6:30 pm
Learn about the EFL/ESL teaching profession. We’ll be discussing certification options, job search strategies, lifestyle concerns, and what you can do next to explore this career.
Studying Successfully-Wednesday, March 2nd 5-6:30 pm
Do you let new information wash over you like a wave, or are you actively comparing it to your existing knowledge? Learn what active studying is, practice techniques, and develop a personal active study plan for your most difficult course.
Test Your Best-Monday, March 7th 5-6:30 pm
Don’t let anxiety or unpreparedness prevent you from doing well on tests! Research shows that there are optimal ways to prepare for tests, but even the best-prepared student can suffer from the strong emotions that tests bring up. We’ll practice anxiety-reducing techniques and make personal test-prep plans for those who have tests coming up. Just finished a test? Learn how to analyze your right and wrong answer patterns and do better on the next one.
Museum Careers Panel-Wednesday, March 30 5:30-7 pm
Learn about exciting career possibilities in the museum industry. Career panelists from various Austin museums will be on hand to answer your questions. Careers represented include curator, program archivist, eduational outreach coordinator, and exhibit designer.
