The accounting department will need to make some additional room in its trophy case after a trio of professors recently won awards.

Over the past several weeks, three McCombs accounting professors were each recognized for their outstanding achievements. Professor Michael Clement received the Honored Guest Award from the PhD Project, an organization that recruits minority professionals from business into doctoral programs. Professor James Deitrick, meanwhile, received the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (TSCPA) 2012 Outstanding Accounting Educator Award. Additionally, Assistant Professor Brian White was awarded with the Outstanding Manuscript Award at the Accounting Behavior and Organizations (ABO) conference for his paper on performance-based incentives.
