Prior to joining the team at Jon Brumley Venture Labs, Ian founded and grew multiple small businesses, including his current one, Charming Casa. Along with his experience in sales & marketing, Ian has been contributing to new ventures in a variety of ways for nearly 15 years. As a student in the MS in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) program, he served as the Marketing Officer for the Graduate Student Assembly’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Agency, Senior Student Associate at Austin Technology Incubator (ATI), and graduated with Honors in May 2019. Ian’s startup, Amigo Analytics, won the James D. Pippin Veteran Entrepreneurship Award and was then accepted into the ATI’s Student Entrepreneurship and Launch program. Ian’s passion for learning about new technologies and commercialization strategies, working with founders to explore innovative solutions, planning go-to-market strategies, evaluating business models and helping others connect to high quality resources make him a solid addition to the JBTVL team. While serving as a Venture Partner at JBTVL, he is most interested in learning hands-on about product management, healthcare innovation, and early-stage investing.
