Emily Bowman – TVL Commercialization Startup Fellow
Emily Bowman is currently a 5th year PhD student in Biochemistry at UT Austin. Her dissertation work is centered around developing high throughput assays for metabolic engineering of microbes. Emily became familiar with JBTVL as she is interested in commercializing synthetic biology innovations for high throughput screening to make research and product development more efficient and environmentally friendly.
David (Kyle) Strickland – TVL Founder in Residence Fellow (FIR)
David K. Strickland (“Kyle”), a current Master of Science in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) student, has 22 years of professional work experience, including 17 years as a government contractor providing tactical support to classified programs for various government agencies. He has 20+ operational deployments and multiple training/advising deployments to the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. He is an advisor to senior government officials on the conduct of specialized war zone missions in support of intelligence, training, and tactical teams.
Brunon Walczak – TVL Commercialization Startup Fellow
Brunon Walczak graduated with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin in May of 2022. For most of his undergraduate career, he operated in a variety of roles across multiple student organizations, namely the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Texas Inventionworks (TIW), and Longhorn Racing (LHR). Since taking the TVL Practicum class in Spring 2022, Brunon has steadily developed an interest in managerial and entrepreneurial skill development.
