The TVL Accelerator connects innovative startups from across Texas with multi-disciplinary teams of graduate students in our unique campus-wide course, the TVL Practicum. Nanoborne is a petroleum and geosystems engineering company, focusing on R&D in applied nanotechnology. Their company is a developer of a nano-surfactant, which is used to make a nano-emulsion ESN® that enhances control of subsurface fluid flow. The nano-emulsion technology is applied in geothermal wells drilling, carbon utilization and storage, and upstream oil and gas industries. Excess water production in upstream oil and gas, and related to it, contamination of the environment are major issues they address. Nanoborne drives sustainable development through nanotechnology integration.
