Texas Venture Labs has supported the startup ecosystem in Texas since 2010 through the TVL Accelerator program. We are now expanding our offerings, thanks to the Wells Fargo Foundation, to include our small business community.
Our Small Business Impact Program is designed to provide small businesses with tools and knowledge to pursue growth and sustainability in a series of comprehensive and interactive workshops, as well as networking opportunities with our community partners, and one-on-one mentorship. We are excited to kickoff the program this Fall semester, with our first workshop happening September 11th at 12pm! Looking forward to seeing all of the participating businesses attend. Find the full link to the press release announcement here.
TVL is also proud to provide information sessions for our Practicum and Energy Ventures programs through the month of October. The Practicum connects local startup companies with talented and entrepreneurial graduate students from UT Austin. Most students come from the MBA, law, engineering, pharmacy, and natural sciences programs but all majors are welcome. Energy Ventures brings together graduate students from various disciplines to develop startup plans specifically for Texas-based energy technologies and services. Through interdisciplinary teamwork and mentorship, students create viable business plans for energy-related ideas, aiming to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and the energy ecosystem. Come join us at our info sessions to learn more! RSVP to our dates here!
We will also be hosting a TVL Open House on October 31st! This will be a good opportunity for students and entrepreneurs alike to learn more about what TVL has to offer in terms of resources, networking, and hands-on experiences. Pop in anytime between 9am-4pm to meet with our staff and enjoy delicious snacks. RSVP to our calendar invite here!
We hope you join us at our Fall events, and keep up with us on social media for updates!
