Grad Students: Compete with Your Startup

This semester, Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs will be holding our biannual Investment Competition (TVLIC) online on Friday, December 4. This virtual competition will offer a unique opportunity for UT graduate students to pitch their startup ideas to a panel of investors and entrepreneurs.

Past participants, such as the founders of uShip, BeatBox Beverages and Ordoro to name a few, have gone on to do great things after launching their startups at TVLIC. Many other participants have leveraged their TVLIC experience and feedback from the judges to accelerate their careers outside of entrepreneurship.

Along with the new format, we are rolling out an exciting new suite of prizes including:

  • Grand prize of $15,000 plus in kind services
  • A seat in the newly founded Company-in-Residence program
  • Fast-track startup ecosystem support from our partners

There will also be thousands of dollars in other cash awards, not to mention all the glory of bragging rights! Check out all the prizes.
