Program:

Master of Science Bridge Program in Business Analytics

Student Name:

Emily Buzzelli

Graduating Class:

Class of 2019

Undergraduate Alma Mater:

The Ohio State University – Mechanical Engineering

About Emily:

I grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State in 2011. Since then I have been working for Accenture focusing on system implementations and business process improvement projects for commodity trading clients in Houston. The most exciting news in my life (other than coming back to graduate school) is that I was recently married to my longtime boyfriend Brent.

Proudest Accomplishment:

My proudest professional accomplishment was making manager at Accenture. Reaching this milestone required a lot of hard work and the ability to continually work towards deliverables and goals despite challenges. Having my work recognized by my superiors meant a lot to me.

Why did you choose the MSBA Program?

I came back to the MSBA program to further expand my technology skills and to develop a deeper understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics. In industry I always felt like there was more we could be doing with data, and I wanted to gain the skills to do so!

What are you looking forward to most this year?

I’m really looking forward to the capstone project in the spring, as this will give the chance to see the practical application of all of the concepts we have been learning in the program and give a preview of working through a data science project in a workplace setting.
