Undergraduate Business Council

McCombs Students traveled to Seattle on March 12 to visit companies that were focused on MIS and Supply Chain.  These Company Field Trips are meant to bridge the gap between the classroom and the working world in order to give students an opportunity to see the day-to-day environment in companies that recruit at UT.  The students visited Accenture’s technology consulting division, Microsoft, Boeing, and Amazon.  The visits consisted of a presentation about the company as well as Q&A between recruiters, alumni, and students.  Students were also able to take a tour of the Boeing 737 assembly line and see a supply chain at work.  Additionally, Amazon gave students a tour of their corporate headquarters as well as the Amazon Fresh/Amazon.com facilities.  All of these visits were directly related to material in the classroom and served as a learning tool for students interested in these fields.
