Last week I learned a really cool Excel keyboard shortcut I’d like to share with you. It lets you enter an AutoSum function really fast. Much faster than going to the ribbon and clicking on the AutoSum button.
Keyboard Shortcut:
Alt + =
Press Enter to complete the formula.
What it does:
Inserts the Sum function and guesses what you want to add, based on the cells around it. Generally, it will guess a continuous group of cells that contain numbers, directly above the cell it is entered in.
Even better:
Alt + = + =
If you keep holding down the Alt key and press = a second time, Excel will go ahead and do the calculation without making you press Enter.
The MOST wants to hear from you!
What are your favorite keyboard shortcuts?
